A tea for two card made for a special birthday treat using the Cup of Tea stamp set, Teacup Dies and the Alphabest Dies by Stampin' Up!

Tea for Two card

As part of my husband’s recent birthday, I had arranged a proper Afternoon Tea for us both to enjoy. There is a wonderful place near us that serves afternoon tea in old refurbished Pullman Train carriages, such a great atmosphere. I made this little card for my husband to open on his birthday to let him know that he had this treat in store and today is the day

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the tea for two card, you will need:

Daffodil Delight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Starry Sky card – 4¾” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 4½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White, Daffodil Delight & Starry Sky

The stripy cup was stamped all around the edge of the Daffodil Delight card front using Daffodil Delight ink.

The same image was then stamped again in Starry Sky ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut using the Teacup Dies.

I stamped 2 lemon slices in Daffodil Delight ink onto scrap Basic White card and these were then die cut using the same set of dies.

Using a Blending Brush, I swirled some Daffodil Delight ink in the centre of the small panel of Basic White card and added the die-cut cup and lemon slices to the right-side. The decorated panel was then added to the Starry Sky panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
