A soft, pretty floral thank you card made using the Very Versailles stamp set and True Love dsp

True Versailles card for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Thank you for joining me today for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where our theme this month is ‘Thanks/Gratitude’. I have come up with a pretty True Versailles card made using the True Love dsp and Very Versailles stamp set.

Colours used for this project are:

To recreate the true Versailles card, you will need:

Seaside Spray card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded lower right corner
Old Olive – 5⅝” by 3⅜” – rounded lower right corner
Paper Blooms dsp – 5¾” by 3¼” – rounded lower right corner
Basic White – 5” by 3” – rounded lower right corner
Basic White – 5⅝” by 3⅜” – rounded lower right corner – for the inside
True Love dsp
Scrap Seaside Spray & Basic White

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I glued the Paper Blooms dsp to the Old Olive panel then to the Seaside Spray card base.

I stamped the leaves from the Very Versailles stamp set in Old Olive ink down the left-hand side of the smaller Basic White panel.

The lovely scripty image was added overtop of the leaves in Seaside Spray ink and the stamped panel added to the card front using the same liquid adhesive. I adhered a loop of Old Olive Ribbon, from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Duo, to the card front using some Seal Adhesive.

Using my sharp scissors, I fussy cut out a cluster of flowers from the True Love dsp and coloured them in using Seaside Spray and Old Olive Blends Markers. The flowers were added over the ribbon on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Very Versailles stamp set in Old Olive ink onto a scrap of Basic White and die cut it out using the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Tasteful Labels Dies. I added the same circle, die cut from Seaside Spray card to the right side of the sentiment and added them with liquid glue to the card front.

A stricking flowers on black thank you card made using the flower & field dsp by Stampin' Up!

Flowers on Black for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are showcasing projects we have been working on. If you saw my blog post on the 31st January you will be aware that I have been enjoying playing with the fussy cut flowers and leaves from one of the sheets of Flower & Field dsp. I am using the flowers again today to make a thank you card.

If you have hopped over from Annette’s blog, welcome.

To recreate the Flowers & Field card, you will need:

Basic Black – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black – 5½”” by 3⅝”
Basic White – 5½”” by 3⅝” – for the inside
Basic Black – 3½” by 2½”

I started by running the Basic Black panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. This was glued to the Basic Black card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

An In Bloom Thank You card for the Kylie Bertucci Demonstrator Training Programme

Hello and welcome to my blog.  My name is Mo Rootes from Cambridge in the UK and I am thrilled to be taking part in this blog hop with fellow demonstrators, from around the world, who are part of Kylie Bertucci’s demonstrator training program. The theme for the hop is ‘Thank You’ and I am sure you will find lots of inspiration as you hop along with us

You may be starting here or have come from another blog – either way you can find the hop list at the bottom of this post so please hop along with us today.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the In Bloom card, you will need:

Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded lower right corner
Gorgeous Grape – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – Rounded lower right corner
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded lower right corner x 2
Flirty Flamingo – 3¾” by 1⅛”
Basic White – 3¾” by 1”

I began by masking off an area 1¼” wide across one of the larger Basic White panels: I used Post It Notes.

The third flower was stamped in Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape, I added leaves in Granny Apple Green and small flowers in Bermuda Bay to fill in the gaps. I then removed the mask for the great reveal. I absolutely love this bright colour palette.

Pretty feminine birthday cards made using the Paper Blooms dsp a Sale-A-Bration choice from Stampin' Up!

Paper Blooms card in the mail class

Today I am sharing the cards I designed for my first Class in the Mail. I used the lovely Paper Blooms designer Series Paper to make the cards. This is one of the free choices from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure with a £45 order.

Each person taking the class received all the card stock needed to make the cards, a 6” by 6” pack of the Paper Blooms dsp, a strip of Rhinestones, 3 envelopes and the die cut circles and label for the sentiments. As per Stampin’ Up! Policy no stamped images or sentiments were included and the ladies taking the class used what they had to hand. I had die cut a selection of flowers and leaves from the dsp for the ladies to use on their cards.

To recreate the double flower card, you will need:

Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛
Rococo Rose – 5½” by 3¾”
Paper Blooms dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Night of Navy – ¼” strip
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” for the inside

Pretty feminine birthday cards made using the Paper Blooms dsp a Sale-A-Bration choice from Stampin' Up!

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Paper Blooms card in the mail class using Stampin’ Up! products.

Adhere the dsp to the Rococo Rose layer, then glued the panel to the Night of Navy card base.

Flag the ends of the strip of Night of Navy card and glue it to the card front. Stamp your chosen sentiment onto the die cut Whisper White label and use dimensionals to add to the card front.

Choose the flowers and leaves from the die cut selection and add with either glue or dimensionals. Embellish with Rhinestones.

To recreate the single flower card, you will need:

Rococo Rose card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛
Whisper White – 4⅛” by 3⅛” – embossed using the Painted Textures embossing folder
Paper Blooms dsp – 5⅞” by 2½”
Night of Navy – ¼” strip

A beautifil thank you card made using the ornate Garden designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up!

Ornate Garden

Today I am casing a card I made back in October. This time I am using the lovely Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper for a simple thank you card.

To recreate the Most Wonderful Time card, you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base –- 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Pear Pizzazz – 5¼” by 3½ “
Ornate Garden dsp -5” by 1” x 3”
Whisper White – 3” by 2½”
Scrap Whisper White

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the 3 strips of the Ornate Garden designer series paper (dsp) to the Pear Pizzazz panel. I always place the 2 side panels first, getting the border as even as possible. I can then add the centre strip making sure it is an equal distance from the other 2 strips. You also need to match up your pattern so don’t mix the up!

An floral all occasion card made using the Pretty Perennial stamp set and summery colours

Pretty Perennial

Today I am sharing a sweet pretty perennial, all occasion, floral card made using the new Pretty Perennials stamp set which will be available from the 5th January 2021.

To recreate the Pretty Perennial card, you will need:

Rococo Rose card base – 8¼ by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper right corner
Soft Suede – 5½” by 3¾ – Rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 – Rounded upper right corner
Soft Suede & Whisper White scrap

I started by taking one of the Whisper White panels and stamping the largest flower from the Pretty Perennials stamp set in So Saffron ink. I like to start with the largest flower, it makes it easier to fit in all the other flowers.

The next size flower was stamped in Rococo Rose and the smallest flower in Highland Heather. The leaves were stamped in Mint Macaron ink, 1st and 2nd generation. I used Soft Suede ink to stamp the centre in the largest flowers and also used it to infill the empty spaces.
