Pretty feminine birthday cards made using the Paper Blooms dsp a Sale-A-Bration choice from Stampin' Up!

Paper Blooms card in the mail class

Today I am sharing the cards I designed for my first Class in the Mail. I used the lovely Paper Blooms designer Series Paper to make the cards. This is one of the free choices from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure with a £45 order.

Each person taking the class received all the card stock needed to make the cards, a 6” by 6” pack of the Paper Blooms dsp, a strip of Rhinestones, 3 envelopes and the die cut circles and label for the sentiments. As per Stampin’ Up! Policy no stamped images or sentiments were included and the ladies taking the class used what they had to hand. I had die cut a selection of flowers and leaves from the dsp for the ladies to use on their cards.

To recreate the double flower card, you will need:

Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛
Rococo Rose – 5½” by 3¾”
Paper Blooms dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Night of Navy – ¼” strip
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” for the inside

Adhere the dsp to the Rococo Rose layer, then glued the panel to the Night of Navy card base.

Flag the ends of the strip of Night of Navy card and glue it to the card front. Stamp your chosen sentiment onto the die cut Whisper White label and use dimensionals to add to the card front.

Choose the flowers and leaves from the die cut selection and add with either glue or dimensionals. Embellish with Rhinestones.

To recreate the single flower card, you will need:

Rococo Rose card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛
Whisper White – 4⅛” by 3⅛” – embossed using the Painted Textures embossing folder
Paper Blooms dsp – 5⅞” by 2½”
Night of Navy – ¼” strip
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” for the inside

Fussy cut the flower from the dsp and add it to the card front using glue and/or Dimensionals.

Stamp and add your chosen sentiment – spare white card stock in the pack. Decorate with Rhinestones.

A beautifil thank you card made using the ornate Garden designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up!

Ornate Garden

Today I am casing a card I made back in October. This time I am using the lovely Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper for a simple thank you card.

To recreate the Most Wonderful Time card, you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base –- 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Pear Pizzazz – 5¼” by 3½ “
Ornate Garden dsp -5” by 1” x 3”
Whisper White – 3” by 2½”
Scrap Whisper White

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the 3 strips of the Ornate Garden designer series paper (dsp) to the Pear Pizzazz panel. I always place the 2 side panels first, getting the border as even as possible. I can then add the centre strip making sure it is an equal distance from the other 2 strips. You also need to match up your pattern so don’t mix the up!

Snow scene Christmas card made using designer series paper by Stampin' Up!

Snow Home

Here is a lovely snow home Christmas card made using the Home Together Dies and the Trimming the Town designer series paper (dsp).

To recreate the Snow Home card you will need:

Misty Moonlight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Real Red – 5 ½” by 3 ¾”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2
In Good Taste dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Trimming the Town dsp

I began by adhering the piece of In Good Taste dsp to the Real Red layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, this gives the background effect. The upper panel was then added to the Misty Moonlight card base using the same glue.

Using the Home Together Dies to cut out some of the houses and trees from the Trimming the Town dsp. I love that we can do this. This card front is made entirely using the dsp, no stamping.

I die cut the snow banks using the same dies and the one of the Whisper White panels. The upper snow bank was added to the card front with liquid glue and the lower snow bank was mounted on the card front using Dimensionals.

The die cut houses were then tucked under the snow banks and glued down using the liquid glue. One of the larger trees was added in the same way. The other 2 trees were added with the liquid glue  to the bottom snow bank and some shadowing added with the light Gray Granite Blends Marker.

I cut the sentiment from one of the one of the Trimming the Town dsp sheets and added it with the liquid glue. The card was complete by adding a scatter of Snowflake Sequins.
