A card made for a team training swap and based on a sketch using the It's a Science stamp set and Masterfully Made dsp by Stampin' Up

It’s A Science Team Training Swap card

Today I am sharing the swap cards made for our recent team training event. We were asked to make 6 identical cards based on a sketch provided by our lovely team leader – Mikaela Titheridge. I used the microscope from the It’s a Science stamp set and the gorgeous Masterfully Made designer Series Paper to make my card.

Colours used to make this card;

To recreate the microscope card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Lemon Lime Twist card – 4¼” by 3⅞”
Masterfully Made dsp – 5¼” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 2½” by 2½”
Lost Lagoon card – 2¾” by ½”

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the Lemon Lime Twist card to the front of the Thick Basic White card bas.

Flap Over, Diagonal Fold Card for the Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop where we are sharing fun fold cards. I am not sure what the name of the fun fold card I am sharing is, so I am calling it a flap-over, diagonal front card and I made it using the Crafting With You stamp set.

Main colours in this project are:

To recreate the flap-over, diagonal front card, you will need:

Azure Afternoon card base – 11¾” by 4⅜ – scored at 5⅞”
Bright & Beautiful dsp – 5 ¾” by 4”
Bright and Beautiful dsp – 5½” by 4” – cut in half from bottom right to upper left to form a triangle
Lemon Lime Twist card – 7” by 3½” – scored at 3½”
Basic White card – 3¼” by 3¼” x 2

I began by Folding and burnishing the Azure Afternoon card base on the scoreline, I then opened the card up again, and cut from the bottom of the front panel to the scoreline.

A floating panel card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop fun fold challenge made using the So Refreshing stamp set and dies by Stampin' Up!

So Refreshing Floating Panel card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing fun fold cards. Love fun folds and today I am sharing a floating panel card made using the So Refreshing stamp set and inspired by Susan Campfield – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cn3Lrs-aNu4.

The colours used in this card are:

To recreate the so refreshing card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 2 1/16” and 4⅛”
Stargazing dsp – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Stargazing dsp – 5⅝” by 1⅞” x 2
Basic White card – 5” by 3½”
Basic White card – 4” by 3”
Basic White card – 3” by 2” – scored at ¾”, 1½”, 2¼”
Scrap Basic White card

I folded and burnished the score lines on the Thick Basic White card base and glued the panels of Stargazing dsp to the card base.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The So Refreshing stamp set and dies used to make a floating panel card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop fun fold challenge

Using the Scalloped Contour Dies, I die cut rectangles from 5” by 3½” and 4” by 3” panels of Basic White card. I trimmed off the left side of the larger rectangle. Using a Blending Brush, I added Berry Burst ink, lightly around the edges of both of the scalloped rectangles. The sentiment was then stamped at the top of the smaller rectangle in Berry Burst ink.

The outline of the jug was stamped in Pebbled Path ink onto scrap Basic White card and added the infill in Lemon Lime Twist ink. The glass was stamped next in Pebbled Path ink and added the infill using the same Lemon Lime Twist ink.

The spray of flowers was stamped on scrap Basic White card, the stem and leaves in Granny Apple Green, outline flowers in Berry Burst ink and infill flowers in Bubble Bath ink. I stamped an extra flower and trimmed it out using Scissors.

The two scalloped rectangles were then decorated with all the die cut pieces.

The larger rectangle with the cut down side was then inserted onto the back panel. I didn’t do this correctly………. I didn’t actually watch Susan’s video to the end as I thought I knew what she had done……….. haven’t we all made that mistake. What I should have done was fold in the two outer pieces of the 3” by 2” panel and place them, folded side down, straddling the scoreline and adhering them with a strong adhesive. The rectangle panel should then be glued to the left had side.

The smaller rectangle is then added to the front piece with glue only on the left side.

The card was completed using a scattering of Festive Pearls.

The Night of Flight stamp set and the 2023 - 2025 In Colors by Stampin' Up! used to make a pretty moth themed card for the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

In-Color Moths card for the Crafty-Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog where we have a roll of the dice challenge and I have chosen to use the new Night of Flight stamp set to make my card using 4 or the 5 options. The only one I haven’t used is masking.

Colours used in my card are:

To recreate the in-color moths card, you will need:

Moody Mauve card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Fresh As A Daisy dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Pebbled Path card – 3⅛” by 3⅛”
Basic White card – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

I glued the piece of Fresh as a Daisy dsp to the largest panel of Basic White card using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and used the same glue to add the panel to the Moody Mauve card base.

I used the following Blends Alcohol Pens to colour in the moths – Boho Blue, Moody Mauve, Wild Wheat and Copper Clay. I glued the coloured panel to the Pebbled Path square using liquid glue. The whole panel was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.
