A pretty flip top box to hold a Ferrero Rocher chocolate made using the Season of Elegance designer series paper from Stampin' Up!

Season of Elegance Flip Top Boxes – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Today for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop I am sharing the season of elegance treat boxes I made for the ladies at my book club Christmas dinner. The evening is such fun, we all bring part of the meal, and I also like to bring a little table gift for each person. This box was not my original idea, but I cannot now find the designer – if it was you, please leave me a comment and ‘thank you’.

Colours in this box are:

To recreate the season of elegance box, you will need:

Thick Basic White card – 6⅞” by 4⅛”
Season of Elegance dsp – 1⅛” by 1⅛” x 3
White Glimmer paper

Using my Paper Trimmer I scored the Thick Basic White card on the long side at 1⅜” by 2¾”, 4⅛” and 5½” and on the short side at 1⅜” by 4⅛”.

A self-closing box made using the Reindeer Days designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! - Stamp 'n Hop Blog Hop

Self-closing Box – Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing Christmas packaging ideas. I have made a self-closing box which I have filled with mini Lindor balls. I originally was inspired by this YouTube video from Linda Parker

Colours in this project are:

To recreate the self-closing box, you will need:

Garden Green card – 8½” by 6”
Reindeer Days dsp – 3¾” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White card

Using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I scored the Garden Green card. On the long side at 4” and 8”. On the short side at 1” and 5”.

A self-closing box made using the Reindeer Days designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! - Stamp 'n Hop Blog Hop

www.crafty-rootes.com – A self-closing box made using the Reindeer Days designer Series Paper for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop

With the long side at the top of the scoreboard and the ½” strip on the right I scored at 2” and 6” but only as far as the first scoreline. I repeated this on White cardstock to make it easier for you to see.

Taking a ruler and the Take Your Pick Scoring Attachment I scored from the bottom of the 2” scoreline to the right-hand corner of the rectangle and then again to the left-hand corner. I repeated this from the bottom of the 6” scoreline to both other corners.

I cut away the small rectangles at either end of the ½” tab and cut up all of the remaining scorelines along the long sides. I folded and burnished on all the scorelines beginning with the diagonal scorelines. The cardstock was then folded on the 4” fold and glued to the ½” tab to close the box. At this point I also rounded the corners of the top, longer panels.

Using a pencil, I marked one side of the 3¾” square of Reindeer Days dsp at 1⅞”. I used my Paper Trimmer to cut from the 1⅞” mark to the lower right corner and then the lower left corner giving three triangles. These were glued to the front of the self-closing box. The four tabs forming the bottom of the box were then glued together.

A Christmas card made for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop using the Peaceful Season stamp set and co-ordinating dies from Stampin' Up!

Peaceful Season Card – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing projects made using dies. I have used the lovely Peaceful Seasons Dies to make my card which was inspired by a card in the September – December 2024 Mini Catalogue.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the peaceful seasons cards, you will need:

Lost Lagoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Pretty Peacock card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White, Lost Lagoon and Season of Elegance dsp

Using the Peaceful Seasons Dies, I die cut 4 small, rounded squares – 1 from scrap Basic White card, 1 from scrap Lost Lagoon card and 2 from scrap Season of Elegance dsp.

The sentiment, from the Peaceful Seasons stamp set was stamped on the Basic White die cut label using Versamark ink. I covered it with gold embossing powder and heat set it. I stamped the snowflake from the Frozen Edges stamp set, in Versamark ink onto to die cut Lost Lagoon die cut label. I covered it with the Gold Embossing Powder and Heat set it.

The 4 die cut labels were then placed in position on the Pretty Peacock panel, moved each to one side and stamped the cluster of mini snowflakes in Versamark ink. The snowflake cluster were then embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. The embossed panel was then glued to the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White.

A length of Gold Ribbon was then threaded through the Basic White label and the label was then added to the Pretty Peacock layer on Dimensionals. The ends of the ribbon were then adhered to the back of the panel using Sellotape and the panel was then glued to the Lost Lagoon card base.
