A card made for the Stamping Inkspirations picture/colour challenge blog hop using the Cottage Wreath stamp set and Countryside Wreaths Dies from Stampin' Up!

Christmas Wreaths card for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by a picture and colour challenge. I used the Cottage Wreaths stamp set to make my card.

Colours used in my card:

To recreate the Christmas Wreaths card, you will need:

Cherry Cobbler card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Wild Wheat card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Pretty Peacock card – 2⅝” by ½”
Scrap Sweet Sorbet card

Using the twiggy wreath stamp from the Cottage Wreath stamp set, I stamped on the smaller panel of Basic White card in Pecan Pie ink. I rotated the image and stamped again with Wild Wheat ink. This gave a fuller wreath with more texture.

Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Scrap Night of Navy & Basic White card

I stamped the beautiful birdcages across one of the Basic White panels using all of the colours specified. I started in the centre and masked off the stamped images before stamping the next so that they appeared in the background.

If the cages needed longer hanging chains, I inked up the chain, turned the stamp upside down and added length to the chain.

Using a Blending Brush, I added Flirty Flamingo ink around the edges of the panel to pull the design together. I glued the stamped layer to the Flirty Flaming panel and wrapped a length of Sweet Sorbet Metallic Ribbon around securing it on the back with Sellotape.

The whole panel was added to the Night of Navy card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The sentiment from the Beautifully Happy stamp set was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto scrap Basic White card and was then punched out using the Double Oval Punch. I punched a slightly larger scalloped oval using the same punch and scrap Night of Navy card. I glued the two together and added them to the card front on Dimensionals.

I hope you like it.

Beautifully Happy card for the Colour Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Colour Combo Blog Hop where we are creating with the following colours:

Here are the colours used in this :

I used the pretty new stamp set Beautifully Happy to make my card.

To recreate the beautifully happy card, you will need:

Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Poppy Parade card – 4⅝” by 3⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 4 ½” by 3” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Scrap Basic White, Poppy Parade & Coastal Cabana card

I stamped the solid inner floral image in the upper left and lower right corners of the Flirty Flamingo card base using Flirty Flamingo ink.

The large sprig of flowers was stamped in Basic Gray ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card. The in-fill leaves were then stamped in Coastal Cabana ink.

I used Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade Blends Markers were used to colour the flowers. A Coastal Cabana Stamp ‘n Write Marker added colour to the base of the flowers and smaller leaves.

Using a Blending Brush, I added Coastal Cabana ink around the edges of the decorated panel and used the same ink to stamp the dotty image randomly around the flowers. The decorated panel was then glued to the Poppy Parade layer.

I wrapped a length of Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape. Yes I know it is technically another colour but in my opinion the colour is much closer to Flirty Flamingo. The whole piece was then mounted onto the card base on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut using the Hydrangea Dies and was added over the ribbon on Dimensionals. I flagged the ends of scrap strips of Basic White, Poppy Parade and Coastal Cabana card and tucked them under the top right corner of the stamped panel.
