A Christmas candles card made using the pretty Window Wishes stamp set and Window Dies by Stampin' Up!

Christmas Candles card

I have been playing with the Window Wishes stamp set recently and here is one of the cards I came up with using the Christmas Candles from the set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Christmas candles card, you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 4⅛” by 3⅛”
Distressed Gold card – 3½” by 3⅜”
Vellum card – 4⅛” by 1⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White, Pool Party & Garden Green

I stamped the sprig image from the Merriest Moments stamp set in Crumb Cake ink in the upper left and lower right corners of the Crumb Cake card base and set it aside.

The smaller piece of Basic White card was run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with one of the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders. I added the piece of Distressed Gold card behind the embossed panel having thriftily die a circle from the centre to use on another project. The panel was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the two large holly leaves, from the Leaves of Holly stamp set, in the upper left and lower right corners. I decided it was easier to line up the images if I stamped the solid image first – in Soft Succulent ink – followed by the more detailed image in Evening Evergreen.

I added the pinecones, from the Christmas Season stamp set, in Sahara Sand ink for the solid image and second-generation Early Espresso for the detailed image.

The berries were stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink, second generation for the solid and full strength for the detailed image. The sprig from the Christmas To Remember stamp set was stamped in Soft Succulent ink. The stamped panel was then glued to the Evening Evergreen layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The same glue was used to add the panel to the Soft Succulent card base.

Merry Eden for the Crafty Collaborations Eden’s Garden Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Eden’s Garden Blog Hop where we are showcasing projects made using the Eden’s Garden stamp set. Mine is a Merry Eden, sending hugs card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the merry Eden card, you will need:

Merry Merlot card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Just Jade card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Merry Merlot card – 3” by 3“
Basic White card – 3” by 3“

I die cut the circle from the square of Basic White card, placed it on the smaller Basic White panel allowing it to hang off on the right and drew around it lightly with a pencil.

The largest image was inked up with Merry Merlot ink and stamped twice overlapping the pencil drawn circle. The leafy sprays were added with Juts Jade and Mossy Meadow ink. The panel was then glued to the Just Jade panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

A length of the gorgeous Metallic Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape.

The sentiment was stamped in Merry Merlot ink and leafy sprigs added around the edges. I glued the sentiment to the slightly larger Merry Merlot scalloped circle and used a trimmer to remove a piece from the right-hand side. The trimmed down circle was then added to the stamped panel with Dimensionals.

The whole panel was then added to the Merry Merlot card base with the same liquid glue and added a trio of Holiday Rhinestones to add a little sparkle.
