Darling Dinos card – Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by a sketch. I have made my card using the adorable Darling Dinos stamp set and Dies.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the darling dinos card, you will need:

Basic Beige card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Country Woods dsp – 4⅝” by 3¾”
Peach Pie card – 3¾” by ⅜” x 2
Basic White card – 4½” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White & Lost Lagoon card

To the top and bottom of the panel of Country Woods dsp, I adhered the strips of Peach Pie card leaving about ⅛” of the card showing. I then tore about 1½” off the bottom of the dsp and set the pieces to one side.

With Granny Apple Green ink, I stamped the ‘grass’ all along the bottom of the label in 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation ink. A Blending Brush and Pool Party ink were used to add colour to the top of the label. The speckles were added to give texture using a stamp from the Country Birdhouse stamp set and the same Pool Party ink.

I added the leaves, from the Heart Shaped stamp set in Granny Apple Green at the top of the panel.

At this point I placed the pieces of dsp onto the card front, moving them until I was happy with the position. I then added the decorated label on top with Dimensionals only on the top and bottom. A piece of White Baker’s Twine was fed through, under the label and secured on the back with Sellotape. The whole piece was then glued to the card front.

Party Owl card for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we are working with a sketch and the suggestion that we use some glitter and shine! Love a bit of sparkle…. I have made a sweet little birthday card featuring an adorable owl.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the owl card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Dry Brushed Metallic dsp – 5⅞” by 1¼”
Coastal Cabana card – 2½” by 2½”
Basic White – 2¾” by 2¾”
Scrap Basic White card

The strip of Dry Brushed Metallic dsp was adhered to the Thick Basic White card base using Multicoloured Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the adorable party owl from the Adorable Owl stamp set in Early Espresso ink onto the small piece of Basic White card. I then die cut the image using the Stylish Shapes Dies and the Mini Cut and Emboss Machine.

Using the following Blends Alcohol Markers I coloured in the image – Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight.

The panel was then glued to the slightly larger Coastal Cabana square with the same liquid glue. I added it to the card base on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto a scrap of Basic White card. I trimmed the sentiment out and added it to the card front. A trio of Glossy Dots completed the card.
