Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on recently. I have been playing with ideas for my April classes using the Sending Smiles stamp set. This Shadow Box card didn’t make the cut but is so pretty that I decided to share it today.
Colours used in this card are:
To recreate this card, you will need:
Fresh Freesia card base – 11¾” by 4⅛”– scored at ½” and 1” each end and then at 4⅞”, 5⅜”, 5⅞” and 6⅜” & 6⅞”
Basic White card – 3⅞” by 3⅝” x 2
Scrap Basic White and Parakeet Party card
Fold and burnish on all the scorelines, I started by folding in the middle and then working out which way to fold on all the other scorelines.
Using the Stylish Shapes Dies, I die cut a stitched circle from the front panel of the card.
I placed one of the 3⅞” by 3⅝” panels of Basic White card onto the inside part of the card and lightly drew around it with a pencil.
The larger circle, from the Watercolor Shapes stamp set, was inked up by pressing the Parakeet Party ink pad to one half and the Fresh Freesia pad to the other half. I stamped down onto scrap paper before stamping in the centre of my pencil circle. The pencil line was then erased. The sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink in the centre of the inked circle and the panel was then glued in place.
I the glued down the two side panels to close the card.
I stamped a variety of flowers onto scrap Basic White card in Daffodil Delight, Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape inks and die cut them using the Sending Dies. I also die cut some leaves from Parakeet Party card, and cut them apart.
The flowers were then arranged and then adhered with liquid glue around the die cut circle.
A scattering of Glossy Dots completed the card. So pretty, I hope you like it.
Please continue to hop on, sharing the inspiration provided by my stamping friends.
