Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we have a picture/colour challenge to work with today. I really wanted to use the new abundant beaty masks today but they have sadly been out of stock in Europe so I have made my card using the lovely Cheerful Daisies stamp set and dies.
To recreate the cheerful daisy flowers card, you will need:
Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner Early Espresso card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card- 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside Scrap Basic White card
Using a Blending Brush and the Artistic Mix Masks I blended Crumb Cake ink onto the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card to add texture to the background.

The inked panel was then glued to the Early Espresso panel and a length of Natural Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then glued to the Crumb Cake card base.

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing gift packaging ideas. I saw a Youtube video a while ago, posted by fellow demonstrator Angie Juda using the Merriest Trees Bundle to make a sweet box and I have adapted it to make treat boxes for the customers coming to my October classes.
To recreate the merriest trees box, you will need:
Pretty Peacock card – 5¾” by 4¼” Pretty Peacock card – 8⅛” by 2 Scrap Basic White card
Using the Merriest Trees Dies I die cut 2 large trees from the 5¾” by 4¼” panel of Pretty Peacock card.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A treat box made for my September classes using the Merriest Trees stamp set and Dies by Stampin’ Up! and shared in the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop
On one of the die cut pieces I stamped the snowy boughs image in Versamark ink, covered it with White Embossing Powder and Heat set it with my Heat Tool.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A treat box made for my September classes using the Merriest Trees stamp set and Dies by Stampin’ Up! and shared in the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop
Using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool I scored the 8⅛” by 2” strips of Pretty Peacock card – on the short side at ½” and 1½” and on the long side at ½”, 1¼”, 4” & 5¼”. I wedged out the tabs and created the top as shown in the picture below.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A treat box made for my September classes using the Merriest Trees stamp set and Dies by Stampin’ Up! and shared in the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop
I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the right side to the bottom and, having closed the top, the left side to the bottom to create the treat holder piece.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A treat box made for my September classes using the Merriest Trees stamp set and Dies by Stampin’ Up! and shared in the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop
The treat holder piece was glued to the back of the undecorated die cut tree, taking care that it wasn’t visible. The decorated tree was then glued to the front of the box, again making sure to line it up so that it would stand.

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing balcony fun fold cards. Now, I have never made one of these fun folds and spent quite a bit of time working out what I wanted to do. This card, made using the Beary Cute stamp set was inspired by a Youtube video made by the super talented Jay Soriano
To recreate the bears on a balcony card, you will need:
Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Basic White card – 5⅝” by ⅞” x 4 – one for the back of the card to write on Night of Navy card – 5½” by 3¾” x 3 Basic White card – 8½” by 2” – scored at 4⅛ and then at ½” at each end Basic White card – 5¼” by 2¼” – scored at 2¼” and then at ⅜” at each end Scrap Basic White
I tore a piece of copy paper into wavy strips and used them, with a Blending Brush and Night of Navy to add texture to the Night of Navy panels.
I then tried Jay’s technique with the soft pastels and drew over the dark blue lines with the Granny Apple Green pastel stick.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A Bears on a Balcony fun fold card made for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop using the Beary Cute stamp set and Beary Cute Punch and the Joseph’s Coat technique
I used the flat end of the stick to stroke the colour upwards. I added some of the Gorgeous Grape using the pastel stick then lightly blended the colour with a Sponge Dauber.
The pastels have a tendency to smudge so I sprayed the panels with hairspray to set the colour.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A Bears on a Balcony fun fold card made for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop using the Beary Cute stamp set and Beary Cute Punch and the Joseph’s Coat technique
The panels were then glued to the Basic White panels and were then glued to the front and inside of the Night of Navy card base.
Taking the 2 strips of Basic White card, I cut a wavy pattern along the top.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A Bears on a Balcony fun fold card made for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop using the Beary Cute stamp set and Beary Cute Punch and the Joseph’s Coat technique
I took more of the copy paper strips and used a Sponge Dauber to stroke on Pool Party ink to give the effect of snow which would ground my bears.
I glued the inked strips to the inside of the card using the tabs at either end, making sure to line the centre of each strip to the centre of the card.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A Bears on a Balcony fun fold card made for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop using the Beary Cute stamp set and Beary Cute Punch and the Joseph’s Coat technique
Onto scrap Basic White card, I stamped a variety of bears from the stamp set in Night of Navy ink.
Some I punched out using the Beary Cute Punch, the others I fussy cut out.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A Bears on a Balcony fun fold card made for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop using the Beary Cute stamp set and Beary Cute Punch and the Joseph’s Coat technique
The bears were then added to the inside of the card and the card front.
The sentiment was a bit of an after-thought and was stamped in Night of Navy on a scrap of inked Basic White card. I added it to the card front with liquid glue.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A Bears on a Balcony fun fold card made for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop using the Beary Cute stamp set and Beary Cute Punch and the Joseph’s Coat technique
A scattering of Iridescent Rhinestones completed the card.
