Today I am sharing a dramatic card showcasing the reverse embossing technique, made using the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder.
Colours in this card are:
To recreate the berry burst layered florals card, you will need:
Berry Burst card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card
Using the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder I embossed the 5¼” by 3¾” panel of Basic White card
The embossed panel was then placed face down on my desk. I added colour to the petals of the larger flowers with Berry Burst ink using Sponge Daubers. The centres of the larger flowers were added with Blackberry Bliss ink.
The smaller flowers were inked with Daffodil Delight ink and all the leaves were coloured with Granny Apple Green ink.
I then repeatedly ran my Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad all over the reverse side of the embossed panel to build up the depth of colour. The dark ink really makes the bright colours pop out.
The inked panel was glued onto the Basic White measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝” and a length of Sheer Silver Edged Ribbon wrapped around it. The whole piece was then glued to the Berry Burst card base.
Using the Everyday Details dies I di cut a label from scrap Basic White card. The sentiment from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set was stamped on the label in Berry Burst ink. I added it over the ribbon using Dimensionals.
