Today, I have been playing with the gorgeous Calming Camellia stamp set which is free with a £275 order. I love these textured floral stamps as you can get fantastic results with minimal supplies.
To recreate the calming camellia card, you will need:
Early Espresso card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” Calypso Coral card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside Basic White card – 3” by 2½” Early Espresso card – 3” by 2½”
I inked up the large floral stamp with Petal Pink ink, added Calypso Coral ink around the edge and in the centre and stamped it onto one of the larger Basic White layers. I repeated these steps until the whole panel was covered by the image.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty floral card made using the Calming Camellia stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
The small ‘swirl’ image was stamped in Calypso Coral ink to fill in any white spaces and to add a depth of colour. The stamped panel was then glued to the Calypso Coral layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

This was then cut out using my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Tasteful Labels Dies. I cut a second label from the small piece of Early Espresso card. I cut the label from top to bottom and added it to both sides of the stamped label using liquid glue. It was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Today I am sharing the project made at this week’s classes using the Daffodil Dies and co-ordinating Daffodil Afternoon dsp. Each person attending class received a 6^ by 6” pack of the Daffodil Afternoon dsp to use for their cards.
Pear Pizzazz card – 6” by 2¾” Very Vanilla card – 11¾” by 2½” scored and folded at 5⅞” Daffodil Afternoon dsp – 5¾” by 2½” Very Vanilla – 4½” by 3½” – Die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies Scrap Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry & Pear Pizzazz
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A offset slimline card made using the Daffodil Dies and Daffodil Afternoon dsp for my January 2022 classes
We added the folded Very Vanilla card to the Pear Pizzazz panel.
The piece of Daffodil Afternoon dsp was added to the front of the Very Vanilla panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
We ran the die cut scalloped rectangle through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Stitched Greenery Die. This adds texture without fussiness. The rectangle was then added, offset to the card front.
We then die cut the pieces for the daffodil and leaves from scrap Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz card. The leaves and stem were added to to the card front with liquid glue. The pieces of the daffodil were stuck together with liquid glue and added to the card front on Dimensionals.
To complete the card, we added a bow made from the black Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Tryptic Card
Mossy Meadow card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅞” – scored and folded at 4⅛” Daffodil Delight card – 5⅜” by 2⅛” Daffodil Afternoon dsp – 5¼” by 2” Daffodil Delight card – 1⅝” by 2⅝” x 2 Daffodil Afternoon – 2½” by 1½” x 2 Basic Black card – 2½” by 2” Very Vanilla card – 2½” by 2” Very Vanilla card – 5½” by 3¾”
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A tryptic card made using the Daffodil Dies and Daffodil Afternoon dsp for my January 2022 classes
After cutting the piece of Daffodil Afternoon dsp to the sizes given above, we adhered each piece to the slightly larger Daffodil Delight layer.
These panels were then added t the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The sentiment, from the Elegantly Said stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the small panel of Very Vanilla card and punched out using the Tailored Tag Punch. We backed this with a Basic Black punched piece cut in half and added to the back. The sentiment was added to the card front on Dimensionals.
This is such a simple card to put together and is a great way to use dsp.
Strips of dsp card
Very Vanilla card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Pear Pizzazz card – 5⅞” by 3” Very Vanilla card – 5¾” by 2” Daffodil Afternoon dsp – ½” strips

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are showcasing projects with a vintage theme. I have to say ‘vintage’ is way out of my comfort zone so this was quite a challenge for me.
To recreate the vintage harvest card, you will need:
Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” Very Vanilla card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” Blushing Bride card – 5¼” by 3½” Very Vanilla card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside Scrap Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, Soft Suede & Early Espresso
Using one of the images from the Natural Textures stamp set, I stamped all over the panel of Blushing Bride in Blushing Bride ink to give a subtle texture. I then tore down the right side of the panel. I used a Dauber to Crumb Cake ink around the edge of the piece.
I tore the edge of the smaller Very Vanilla piece and inked along the torn edge with the same ink.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Harvest Dies used to make a pretty vintage style card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
I wrapped a length of Lace Trim around the Blushing Bride panel and added it to the Very Vanilla piece. The whole panel was added to the Crumb Cake card base. I inked around that as well with the Crumb Cake ink.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Harvest Dies used to make a pretty vintage style card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
Using the Harvest Dies, I die cut the stems and flowers from scrap Soft Suede and Early Espresso card. I though the flowerhead was too dark so die cut it again from Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla card……….couldn’t make my mind up which I would like better. I used the speckle image from the Daffodil Daydream stamp set to stamp on the potential flowerheads with Soft Suede ink.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Harvest Dies used to make a pretty vintage style card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
The Soft Suede stems were added to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added the Early Espresso stems with Mini Dimensionals. I added the Blushing Bride flowerhead, then decided I liked the Very Vanilla so I added it on top, on Dimensionals, but slightly offset so that you see both. How’s that for indecision……….
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Harvest Dies used to make a pretty vintage style card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso ink on scrap Very Vanilla card and die cut using a label from the Harvest dies. It was added to the card front on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Harvest Dies used to make a pretty vintage style card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
A bow made from the Lace Trim and a scattering of Brushed Metallic Dots completed the card.
Actually, I really like it and I hope you do also.
Please hop on to share what my fellow demos have been creating.
