In Color Bottled Happiness card for the Stamper’s Showcase Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamper’s Showcase Blog Hop where we are sharing a project made using something form our pre-order. I have chosen to use our gorgeous new 2022 – 2024 In Colors and the Bottled Happiness stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the In Color Bottled Happiness card, you will need:

Tahitian Tide card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Orchid Oasis card – 4¾” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 4⅝” by 3⅛”
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” for the inside
Basic White card – ¼” strip
Scrap Basic White card

I inked up the tall bottle with Tahitian Tide ink and stamped it onto the small panel of Basic White card.

I wanted to have 2 colours of flowers in the bouquet so added the Sweet Sorbet and Orchid Oasis inks using the 2022 – 2024 In Color Stamp ‘n Write Markers. Such a great technique. The leaves were then added in Parakeet Party ink.

At this point I decided I needed some of the smaller bottles in the picture. I initially tried masking off the original bottle but wasn’t happy with the results and ended up stamping the bottles in Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet ink onto scrap Basic White card and fussy cutting them out. The Sweet Sorbet bottle was cut down and added with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and the Starry Sky bottle added on Dimensionals.

I stamped the floral image in the upper left and lower right corner of the Tahitian Tide card front using Tahitian Tide ink. The stamped panel was then added with liquid glue.

The sentiment was stamped in Starry Sky ink onto the strip of Basic White, trimmed down and flagged before it was added to the card front.

A bow made from the Starr Sky Ribbon and a trio of the 2022 – 2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots were added to complete the card.

I absolutely love all the new colours, they are such bright, vibrant happy colours.

Please hop on to see what my fellow hoppers have to share today.

Congratulations card featuring a small dog on an armchair and made using the Stampin' Up! Sit Stay Relax stamp set.

Sit Stay Relax card

Today I am sharing a card made for my daughter and son in law who have moved into their new house this week. I couldn’t resist making their card using the one of the new hostess stamp sets from the upcoming 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalogue called Sit Stay Relax. This sweet set features a small dog sitting on a chair which is exactly what their small dog Skye does whenever she thinks you aren’t looking.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Sit Stay Relax card, you will need:

Smoky Slate card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic Gray card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
In Good Taste dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Starry Sky card – 3½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3½”
Basic Gray card – 3½” by ⅜”
Basic White card – 2 ½” by ⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside

I glued the In Good Taste dsp to the Basic Gray panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used the same glue to adhere the panel to the front of the Smoky Slate card base.

Using Basic Gray ink, I stamped the sweet image from the Sit Stay Relax stamp set onto the square of Basic White and used the Layering Circle Dies and my Mini Cut & Emboss Machine to cut it out.

I used the Light Balmy Blue Blends marker to add the background behind the chair and coloured the sweet little dog in using the Soft Suede combo of Blends markers. The Eyes and nose were added with the dark Basic Black Blends marker.

I wanted to back the stamped image with a Starry Sky scalloped circle but we in Europe haven’t been able to order this colour cardstock yet. So, I die cut the scalloped circle from scrap Basic White card and dabbed the Starry Sky ink pad all around the edge to add colour, then set it to one side to dry. When it was dry I adhered to two circles together with the Liquid Glue and added them to the card front on Dimensionals.

I cut each of the rectangles of dsp on the diagonal into triangles. You need about 6 triangles for this card. Choose card stock where the colours work well together.

Each triangle was glued onto the Misty Moonlight panel leaving a tiny border between each piece. The excess was trimmed off.

I placed the dsp panel on the trimmer with the short side at the top and cut it down into ⅜” strips. The strips were then mixed up and glued onto the smaller Basic Black panel, again leaving a tiny gap between the strips. Cut off the excess and use these pieces to fill in the last couple of rows.

The whole piece was then glued to the larger Basic Black panel. I wrapped a strip of Black, Organdy Glittered Ribbon around the panel and adhered it on the back with Sellotape, The whole piece was the added to the Pale Papaya card base with liquid glue.

The sentiment from the Artfully Layered stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White card and punched out using the Tailored Tag Punch. I punched out a Basic Black tag, cut it in half and added it to the back of the sentiment with a little showing top and bottom. The tag was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Such a cool card, I hope you like it. You can also make a card just using the triangle pieces of dsp.

Trio of Kites card

I have been playing again with the Kite Delight stamp set which is sadly retiring at the end of April and have made a pretty card featuring a trio of kites.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the trio of kites’ card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅝” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Cherry Cobbler card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 3¼” by 3¼”
Scrap Basic White card

Using a Blending Brush, I added Balmy Blue ink to the square of Basic White card and die cut a Layering Circle from the inked area.

The inked circle was placed onto one of the Basic White panels and 2 kite strings stamped overlapping the circle in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. A third string was added lower down on the left. The circle was then adhered to the card front on Dimensionals. The whole panel was glued to the Cherry Cobbler panel and then to the Balmy Blue card front using liquid glue.
