A card made for the Stamping Inkspirations sketch & colour challenge Blog Hop using the pretty Forever Fern stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Forever Fern card made for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we have a sketch and colour challenge. I have used the Forever Fern stamp set to create my card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Forever Fern card, you will need:

Soft Sea Foam card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Evening Evergreen card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2
Evening Evergreen card – 2 ½” by 2 ½”
Basic White card – 2” by 2”

I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink onto the small square of Basic White card. I die cut it out using the Beautiful Shapes Dies. Using the same set of dies I die cut the next size hexagon from the square of Evening Evergreen card.

I lightly drew around the larger die cut sentiment after placing it onto one of the Basic White panels. This gave me an idea where to stamp the leafy images.

A length of Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon was wrapped around the stamped panel. It was secured on the back with Sellotape. I then used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue the stamped panel to the Evening Evergreen layer. The whole piece was added to the Soft Sea Foam card base using the same liquid glue.

A sketch used to inspire snowflake cards made for our Team Training event using the Joyful Flurry stamp set and Festive Flurry Dies by Stampin' Up!

Joyful Flurry card for OnStage Swaps

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on. I originally designed this card using a sketch layout for our Team Training event back in September…………….but forgot to take them with me…………duh…. So I decided to make some more and use them as my card swap for the OnStage Live event in Vienna. I used the Joyful Flurry stamp set and co-ordinating Frosted Flurry Dies to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Joyful Flurry card, you will need:

Tahitian Tide card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Orchid Oasis card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” x 2 – one for the inside– rounded upper left corner
Orchid Oasis card – ⅜” strip

The largest image was then stamped in Orchid Oasis ink and the second smallest in Parakeet Party ink. The second largest snowflake was stamped in Parakeet Party ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut it using the Frosted Flurry Dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. This was added to the panel on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped onto the ⅜” strip of Orchid Oasis card in Versamark ink. I used the embossing Buddy prior to stamping to reduce the static. I added the White Embossing Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool. It was added on Mini Dimensionals, straddling the Parakeet Party snowflake.

A pretty card made for the Stamping Dreams 'In Memoriam' Blog Hop using the Painted Poppies stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Field of Poppies for the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where our theme is ‘In Memoriam’. My son is in the British Army and Remembrance Sunday is very important to us a family and  I have chosen to make a field of poppies themed sympathy card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the field of poppies card, you will need:

Petal Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Poppy Parade card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2
Poppy Parade card – 2¼” by 2¼”
Basic White card – 2¼” by 2¼”

Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the group of poppies, twice across one of the Basic White panels.

I used a Post It note to mask off the ½” strip where the poppy stems were stamped. I used a Blending Brush to apply Granny Apple Green ink between to strips of Post Of Note. The sticky strips were then moved up and Petal Pink ink was brushed on over the poppy flowers. Finally, I masked off a ½” strip above the flowers and coloured this in with Pool Party and a Blending Brush.

I wrapped a length of Black Baker’s Twine around the stamped panel securing it on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then glued to the Poppy Parade layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used the same liquid glue to add the panel to the Petal Pink card base.

The sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the square or Basic White card. This was die cut using the Beautiful Shapes Dies. A slightly larger circle was cut from the square of Poppy Parade card using one of the Layering Circle Dies. The sentiment was mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.
