Dry Embossed Night of Flight for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing projects featuring dry Embossing. I have made my card using the Night of Flight stamp set.

 

Colours used to create this card are:

 

To recreate the night of flight card, you will need:

Azure Afternoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Copper Clay card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Copper Clay card – 1½” by ⅝”

 

I stamped the pretty moth in Copper Clay ink at the bottom of the smaller Basic White panel.

The stamped panel was then embossed using the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

Using a Blending Brush, I added Cajun Craze ink lightly around the edges of the panel before gluing it to the Copper Clay layer. The panel was added to the Azure Afternoon card base on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink onto the strip of Copper Clay ink, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it. I cut the ends at an angle and added it to the card front.

Bunting and Balloon card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing Pre-order product. I have used the lovely Beautiful Balloons stamp set and co-ordinating Beautiful Balloons Dies to make a great bunting and balloon card which could be used for a boy.

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate the bunting and balloon card, you will need:

Soft Sea Foam card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Starry Sky card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 2¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White card

 

Using Soft Sea Foam ink, I randomly stamped the string of bunting down the panel of 5¼” by 3½” Basic White card. I repeated this step using Balmy Blue ink. The panel was then glued to the Starry Sky panel and then to the Soft Sea Foam card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Using the Mini Cut & Emboss Machine and Tailor-Made Dies I cut the largest tag from the

4¼” by 2¼” piece of Basic White card. I stamped the sentiment, from the Artistically Inked stamp set in Soft Sea Foam along the bottom of the tag.

I stamped the large balloon in Balmy Blue ink and 2 of the smallest balloons in Starry Sky ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut them using the Beautiful Balloon Dies.

I stamped the ‘confetti’ image in Soft Sea Foam a few times on the die cut tag and glued the largest balloon in position. One of the smaller balloons was tucked under the large balloon.

I looped a couple of pieces of 2022 – 2024 In-Color Twine through the hole at the top of the tag and the tag was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The remaining small balloon was added to the card front on a Dimensional. A twine bow was added to the bottom of the balloon and a trio of Festive Pearls added to complete the card.

Botanical Layers Card

I have been playing with the pretty Botanical Layers stamp set recently and am sharing one of the cards I made with you today.

 

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate this card, you will need:

Lost Lagoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Fresh As A Daisy dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Basic White card – 2¾” by ⅜”
Scrap thin strip of Lost Lagoon card

 

Using a Blending Brush, I added some Soft Sea Foam ink to the 5” by 3¼” panel of Basic White card.

The taller image was stamped in Lost Lagoon ink onto the panel and the smaller leafy image stamped, overlapping it in Copper Clay ink.

I added the smallest dotty image randomly in Berry Burst ink. The stamped panel was then glued to the piece of Fresh As A Daisy dsp using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. A length of Gold Elegant Trim was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape.

The sentiment, from the Artistically Inked stamp set, was stamped in Berry Burst ink onto the strip of Basic White card. I glued the strip of Lost Lagoon scrap along the bottom and added the sentiment to the card front.

Calm & Quiet Spotlight Technique Card

Hello and welcome to the New Catalogue Blog Hop where we are sharing projects made using product form the New 2023 – 2024 Annual Catalogue. Today I am showcasing the spotlight technique using the Calm & Quiet stamp set and the Stampin’ Blends Pens.

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the calm and quiet card, you will need:

Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Smoky Slate card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

 

I stamped the lakeside scene in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut a circle from the image using one of the stitched circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

I set the die cut circle aside and adhered the stamped panel to the Smoky Slate layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The same glue was used to adhere the layer to the Old Olive card base.

I coloured in the image using the following Blends Alcohol Pens – Balmy Blue, Pool Party, Lemon Lolly, Old Olive, Smoky Slate, Gray Granite and Crumb Cake.

Here is a sweet beer themed card made using the Brewed For You stamp set.

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate the brewed for your birthday beer card, you will need:

Pecan Pie card Base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” 
Very Vanilla card – 4½” by 3”
Calypso Coral card – 2⅛” by 2⅛”
Pebbled Path card – 2” by 2”
Very Vanilla card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

 

Using the Pebbled Path ink, I stamped the sentiment from the Brewed For You stamp set at the bottom of the smaller Vert Vanilla panel.

Using a Paper Trimmer I cut the Calypso Coral and Pebbled Path squares in half on the diagonal and adhered the triangles together using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive,

A Pretty Botanicals Card

The Botanical Layers stamp set is still on my desk and I have used it, with a favourite colour combo, to make a pretty botanicals card.

The colours in this project are;

 

To recreate the pretty botanicals card, you will need:

Real Red card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Pool Party card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5 ¼” by 3 ½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside – rounded upper left corner

 

Using Pool Party ink I stamped the larger leafy image along the bottom of the smaller panel of Basic White card in Pool Party ink.

The more geometric plant was stamped in Real Red ink, overlapping the Pool Party leaves.

A length of Real Red Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. This ribbon comes in a combo pack with a Garden Green ribbon.

Here is a pretty birthday card made using the gorgeous Fresh as a Daisy designer series paper.

To recreate the fresh as a daisy card, you will need:

Moody Mauve card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Fresh as a Daisy dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 2½” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

 

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the Fresh as a Daisy panel to the 5⅝” by 3⅞” piece of Basic White card.

The large leaf from the Cup of Tea stamp set was stamped in 1st and 2nd generation Gray Granite ink in the upper left and lower right corners of the Gray Granite card base.

The striped teacup was stamped in Gray Granite ink onto scrap Basic White card. The small tag was stamped in Soft Suede ink and the sentiment added it Sweet Sorbet ink. I also stamped the larger flower in Blushing Bride and Sweet Sorbet ink. All of these images were die cut using the Teacup Dies.

The larger leafy sprig was stamped on the smaller panel of Basic White card in Soft Sea Foam ink and a Blushing Bride flower added. The clump of leaves and stems were stamped in Garden Green ink and the group of flowers added in Sweet Sorbet. The whole panel was glued to the Sweet Sorbet layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Striped Peaceful Deer cards for the Christmas Stampathon

Today I am sharing cards made for the Christmas Stampathon where our theme is ‘Dots and Spots’. I have used the soon to retire Peaceful Deer stamp set, Peaceful Builder Punch and Dandy Designs designer series paper.

 

Colours in this project are:

 

To recreate the peaceful deer card. You will need:

Granny Apple Green card base – – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3 ¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Dandy Designs dsp – 6” strips, ¼”, ⅜” and ½” wide
Scrap Basic White & Basic Black card

 

I covered the smaller Basic White panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, spreading it thinly.

Strips of dsp were then added diagonally across the panel, each strip butted up against the next. The panel was then mounted onto the Basic Black layer using the same liquid glue.

The whole piece was then added to the Granny Apple Green card front on Dimensionals.

The deer stamp was inked up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped onto scrap Basic White card. I punched it out using the co-ordinating Deer Builder Punch.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink and stamped onto scrap Basic Black card, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set. I trimmed it out using Scissors. It was added to the front of the card.

A trio of Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls completed the card.

The Playing In The Rain Stamp set and a couple of returning colours by Stampin' Up! used to make a cheerful bunny thank you card

Cheerful Bunny Thank You card

Here is an adorable cheerful bunny thank you card made using the Playing in the Rain stamp set and co-ordinating Dies combined with 2 of the returning colours, Lemon Lime Twist and Pretty Peacock.

 

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate the cheerful bunny card, you will need:

Pretty Peacock card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Lemon Lime Twist card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White & Lemon Lime Twist

 

Using a Blending Brush, I applied Lemon Lime Twist to the centre of the smaller panel of Basic White card.

The sweet bunny was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut using the co-ordinating Playing in the Rain Dies.

The bunny’s jacket was then coloured using the Pretty Peacock Blends Pens. I added a little Petal Pink ink to the nose. The bunny was then added to the card front on Dimensionals……I just love him!

I die cut some ‘grasses’ from scrap Lemon Lime Twist card and added them to the card front on Dimensionals and/or liquid glue.

The sentiment, from the Best Family Ever stamp set was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink and a scattering of Basic Rhinestones, coloured with the dark Lemon lime Twist Blends Pen completed the card.
