A pretty wedding card made using the Arrange a Wreath stamp set and Wreath dies by Stampin' Up!

Wedding Card

Today I am sharing a sweet wedding card made for my daughter and her new husband following their marriage yesterday. Like many other couples this year their wedding was postponed due to coronavirus – then at the beginning of July the Church of England announced that simple socially distanced weddings could take place if the church had already been booked – so we were on again….. so exciting.

Camilla and Dom had 10 guest at the wedding instead of the 100 originally planned, no choir or singing, no bridesmaids, best man and no reception as large get togethers are still forbidden. Basically they could have the legal part of the marriage performed. Camilla chose not to wear her wedding dress, she is going to wear it when the have a church blessing followed by the reception in 2 years time.

The colour scheme for the card was inspired by Camilla’s white wedding dress with a little silver beading and the dresses for her 2 bridesmaids which are in a deep purple.

To recreate the wedding card you will need:

Gorgeous Grape card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Whisper White – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – Rounded upper left corner x 2
Gorgeous Grape 4” by 4”
Silver Foil – 4” by 4”
Highland Heather – 4” by 4”
Scrap Whisper White and Gorgeous Grape

I stamped the sentiment from the Arrange a Wreath stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink onto one of the Whisper White panels . The panel was then embossed using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder and adhered to the Gorgeous Grape card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Using the more detailed of the Wreath Dies I cut a wreath form the Gorgeous Grape square and the Silver Foil square. These were adhered together with the same liquid glue.

I die cut the larger leaf die from the Highland Heather card stock square and added it over top of the detailed wreaths with the liquid adhesive. The full wreath was then added to the card front on Mini Dimensionals.

A pretty Christmas card made in non traditional colours

Christmas in July – Joy of Sets Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Joy of Sets blog hop where our theme is ‘Christmas in July’. You can never start too early when making your Christmas cards and for the hop I have chosen to use the lovely Peaceful Boughs stamp set and Beautiful Boughs Dies to make my card.

To recreate the Christmas in July card you will need;

Gorgeous Grape card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded lower left corner
Shaded Spruce – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded lower left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 – Rounded lower left corner

A few fishes were stamped onto the card base in Just Jade ink and the punched out whale was glued on with the liquid adhesive and a Mini Dimensional to support the tail. I added a scatter of Pool Party speckles  to give some texture to the panel.

The sentiment was stamped in Just Jade ink onto scrap Whisper White card and die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. This was added with glue on the left hand side and a dimensional on the right. I added a trio of  2020 – 2022 In Color Enamel Dots to complete the card.

A pretty thank you card made using the Beautiful World stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Colorful World

Here is a gorgeous colorful world thank you card made using the Beautiful World stamp set and co-ordinating World Map dies. This card was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest made by fellow demo Bree Renwick – AKA Craft-somnia

To recreate the Colorful World card you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Pool Party – 5¼” by 3½”
Whisper White – 4⅞” by 3⅛”
Silver Foil – 3 ½” by 2 ½”
Scrap Whisper White, Pool Party, Highland Heather, So Saffron and Flirty Flamingo

I ran the Pool Party layer through the Big Shot inside the Subtles Embossing Folder and added it at an angle to the Thick Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the compass onto the panel of Whisper White in diagonal lines using Pool Party ink, Highland Heather ink and Flirty Flamingo ink. These colours are really lovely together.

Using the All Dressed Up dies I cut stitched pieces from scrap Highland Heather, So Saffron and Flirty Flamingo card stock and glued them to the upper right side of the stamped panel using the liquid adhesive. The whole piece was added to the card front.

I stamped the globe onto scrap Whisper White card using Gorgeous Grape ink and cut it out using the World Maps dies. I also cut the stand from the same set of dies using the Silver Foil. I added these to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set was stamped in Gorgeous Grape onto scrap Whisper White and trimmed with scissors. I added it to a Pool Party layer then to the card front with liquid Adhesive.
