www.crafty-rootes.com -I have made a coloured hydrangea card for the Colour Combo Blog Hop using the Hydrangea Haven stamp set
Using the Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write Marker I inked up the stem and leaves of the flower. I stamped it down onto the Basic White panel. I repeated this step to get a darker impression.
www.crafty-rootes.com -I have made a coloured hydrangea card for the Colour Combo Blog Hop using the Hydrangea Haven stamp set
I used the Magenta Madness Stampin’ Write Marker to ink up the flower head and again repeated the process to get a good impression. The infill stamp was inked up in Flirty Flamingo ink, I stamped it off onto scrap paper before stamping the colour over the flower head. I used the same 2nd generation Shaded Spruce ink to the leaves and stem using the infill stamp.

Today I am sharing a card made for a recent team challenge where our theme was ‘Shabby Chic’. This is so out of my comfort zone. I like clean and simple cards, bright colours so this topic was enough to bring me out in a rash……..
To recreate the shabby chic meadow card, you will need:
Blushing Bride card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” Crumb Cake – 5½” by 3¾” Blushing Bride – 5⅜” by 3⅝” Very Vanilla – 5½” by 3¾” Very Vanilla – 2¼” by 1¾” Scrap Very Vanilla & Crumb Cake
Using 2nd generation Blushing Bride ink, I stamped the flower randomly all over the Blushing Bride panel. I added the scripty stamp using 2nd and 3rd generation Crumb Cake ink. Whilst I had the ink out I stamped in Crumb Cake ink in opposite corners of the Blushing Bride card front.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty shabby chic card made using the Quiet Meadow stamp set and Meadow Dies
I ripped down the right side of the stamped panel – quite enjoyed it once I got started…… I inked around the edge of the stamped panel with a Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake ink. I ripped down the right side of the Crumb Cake panel, stamped down the side with the speckled stamp before inking around the panel using the Dauber and Crumb Cake ink.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty shabby chic card made using the Quiet Meadow stamp set and Meadow Dies
Using a Bone Folder, I broke down the fibres in the upper left corner of both the Crumb Cake panel and the Blushing Bride panel. This allowed me to pull the layers apart and curl the corner. The layers were then adhered together using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty shabby chic card made using the Quiet Meadow stamp set and Meadow Dies
I wrapped some of the gorgeous and sadly retired Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon around the panel before adding the panel to the Blushing Bride card base.
I die cut a Very Vanilla Label from scarp Very Vanilla card using the Tasteful Labels dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set in Blushing Bride ink. I added the scripty image on the label in 2nd & 3rd generation Crumb Cake ink and inked around the edges in Crumb Cake ink and added it over the ribbon on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty shabby chic card made using the Quiet Meadow stamp set and Meadow Dies
Using the Meadow dies I die cut 2 flowers from scrap Very Vanilla card. I stamped the speckled image over the die cut flowers and adhered them to the card front with liquid glue.
To complete the card, I tucked a strip of Lace Trim under the sentiment label and added a trio of Champagne Rhinestones.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty shabby chic card made using the Quiet Meadow stamp set and Meadow Dies
I actually really like this card when it was finished. I hope you like it also.

Hello and welcome to the Kylie Bertucci Demonstrator Training Blog Hop where we are sharing the thank you cards made for our customers. You are currently with Mo Rootes from near Cambridge in the UK. This month I have made a thank you cookies card using the lovely Nothing’s Better Than stamp set. Who can resist a cookie?
To recreate the Thank you Cookies card, you will need:
Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner Early Espresso – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper right corner Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – rounded upper right corner Basic White – 3” by 1¾”
Taking one of the larger panels of Basic White I drew around the inside of one of the Tasteful Label Dies in the centre of the panel. This gave me a frame around which I could stamp the image.
www.crafty-rootes.com -A simple thank you card made using the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set for the Kylie Bertucci Demo Blog Hop
I stamped the image of the cookie onto 2 Post It Notes and cut them out using sharp scissors. I used these as masks when stamping the images.
www.crafty-rootes.com -A simple thank you card made using the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set for the Kylie Bertucci Demo Blog Hop
Using Early Espresso ink, I stamped the first cookie. I placed a mask over the stamped image and stamped again in 2nd generation Early Espresso ink. I continued stamping and masking around the pencil shape.
www.crafty-rootes.com -A simple thank you card made using the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set for the Kylie Bertucci Demo Blog Hop
Using the in-fill stamp I coloured the images in 1st and 2nd generation Crumb Cake ink, masking in the same way. The stamped panel was added to the Crumb Cake card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The same glue was used to add the panel to the Crumb Cake card base.
www.crafty-rootes.com -A simple thank you card made using the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set for the Kylie Bertucci Demo Blog Hop
The sentiment from Ornate Thanks stamp set.was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the smaller Basic White panel and die cut it out using the same die from the Tasteful Labels Dies. Tis was added to the stamped panel on Dimensionals.

Today I am sharing the cards I designed for my May Class in the Mail using the gorgeous Dandy Wishes Dies. I have to admit I initially overlooked these dies, it wasn’t until I was working on class idea which didn’t involve stamping that I thought of using them. I am so glad I did as they are stunning.
For the class I die cut all the flowers, leaves, circles and rectangles and punched the small dragonflies.
Colours used in the Dandy Garden Wishes Class in the Mail projects are:
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” Basic Black –3¾” by 3 ¾” – to die cut Scalloped Circle Basic White – 3” by 3” – to die cut Circle Die cut Dandelion clocks x 2 Small punched Dragonfly Old Olive Ribbon
www.crafty-rootes.com – Dandy Wishes Dies used for my May Class in the Mail
Begin by wrapping the Old Olive Ribbon around the Basic White layer securing it on the back with Sellotape. The panel can then be glued to the Thick Basic White card base.
Using the Blending Brush, add Balmy Blue ink to the Basic White circle the glue the black dandelion clocks to the circle.
The circle can then be added to the card front on Dimensionals and the stems timed. Finally add the bow, the dragonfly and the black dots.
